FastFindRemoteJobs Alerts: terms for our text-message program
- Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
- Last updated: [LAST UPDATED DATE]
These SMS Terms explain our text-message program, FastFindRemoteJobs Alerts. They are part of our [Terms of Service] [LINK]. Our [Privacy Policy] [LINK] explains how we handle your information, and our [Refund & Cancellation Policy] [LINK] explains billing for the SMS add-on. If these SMS Terms and the Terms of Service say different things about text messages, these SMS Terms control. [ATTORNEY TO CONFIRM this order of precedence.]
The short version
- Program: FastFindRemoteJobs Alerts. These are recurring, automated job-alert texts for subscribers who add the optional SMS add-on and opt in.
- How often: message frequency varies, up to about 40 texts a day.
- Cost: the SMS add-on is $10.00 a month plus any applicable sales tax. Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP to any text. For help: reply HELP, or email support@fastfindremotejobs.com.
- No marketing texts. We text you job alerts and messages about your text alerts, nothing else.
- Optional. You don't have to agree to texts to buy any FastFindRemoteJobs plan.
- Who can join: adults (18+) in the United States with a US mobile number.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number stays private. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
A.1 Who sends the texts
FastFindRemoteJobs is operated by Conner Strategic Systems LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). We send our texts through our SMS provider, Twilio, from [SENDING NUMBER]. Every text we send names FastFindRemoteJobs so you can recognize it.
A.2 What the program is
FastFindRemoteJobs is a paid alert service, not a job board. We monitor employers' own public career sites and job feeds, detect new remote job postings open to people in the United States, and notify you about jobs that match the employer industries and keywords you chose. Text alerts are part of the optional SMS add-on, which works with any plan.
What we text you:
- Job-alert texts. What you get depends on your plan (see A.3):
- Ultra: one text for each new match, with the job title, the company, the remote label (for example "Remote: TX residents") and a link to that match on your private dashboard.
- Pro: one text for each 4-hour batch that has new matches, with the number of new matches and a link to your dashboard.
- Basic: one text when your daily digest is ready, with the number of new matches and a link to your dashboard.
- Messages about your text alerts. These are a one-time code to verify your number, a confirmation when your texts start, our replies when you text HELP, STOP or START, and occasional notices about this program, such as a reminder of how to opt out or a notice that these terms are changing. [OWNER TO CONFIRM which of these notices we send; see Part B, sections B6.5 and B9.]
What we never text you. We don't send marketing or promotional texts, ads, upgrade offers or messages from other companies. Our texts never include a job description. To apply for a job, open the link, then use "Apply on employer site" on your dashboard.
Some Ultra matches aren't texted. For Ultra, matches labelled "likely remote" and matches labelled "Description match" (your keywords appear only in the job description) go to your email and dashboard, not by text.
A.3 How often we text you
Message frequency varies. It depends on your plan, your alert rules, how many new jobs match them, and your delivery schedule.
| Plan | What you get by text | Most job-alert texts in a day |
|---|---|---|
| Ultra | A text for each new match as soon as we release it, except the matches described at the end of A.2. A match that arrives outside your delivery schedule is held, and we send one summary text when your next window starts. | About 40 |
| Pro | One text for each batch with new matches. Batches go out at 00:07, 04:07, 08:07, 12:07, 16:07 and 20:07 in your time zone, within your delivery schedule. | 6, plus at most one summary of held matches when your window opens |
| Basic | One text when your daily digest is ready. | 1 |
- Daily limit. We send up to about 40 job-alert texts a day. After that, more matches that day go to your email and dashboard only. [DEVELOPER TO CONFIRM: "a day" means your local calendar day.]
- No empty texts. We don't text you when there are no new matches. [OWNER TO CONFIRM]
- Other texts. Messages about your text alerts (A.2, item 2) are in addition to job alerts. They are rare.
- Changing plans. If you change plans, your texts follow your new plan's timing, always within the "up to about 40 texts a day" you agreed to.
A.4 When texts arrive
- Your delivery schedule applies. Texts follow the schedule you set for each day of the week: Off, 24 hours, or a start and stop time in your time zone. You can change it at any time.
- "24 hours" means any time, including overnight. For Ultra and Pro, the schedule starts as "24 hours" every day. If you don't want texts at night, set a start and stop time. [OWNER TO DECIDE whether texts get their own default window; see reviewer note 3.]
- Held alerts. Ultra and Pro matches that arrive outside your window are held and summarized in one text when your next window starts.
- Email settings don't delay texts. The optional Ultra email throttle applies to emails only. [DEVELOPER TO CONFIRM]
- Delivery isn't guaranteed. Once we hand a text to Twilio, delivery depends on your mobile carrier and your phone. Texts can be delayed or not delivered, for example if your phone is off or out of coverage. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your matches also appear on your dashboard and in your alert emails, so you don't miss them when a text doesn't arrive.
A.5 What it costs
- SMS add-on: $10.00 a month, plus any applicable sales tax. It is billed with your plan, on the same date, and renews automatically every month until you remove it or cancel. Our [Refund & Cancellation Policy] [LINK] explains adding, removing and refunds.
- We don't charge per text.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for texts you receive or send (including when you reply HELP or STOP) and for data when you open a link, depending on your plan. Ask your carrier for details.
A.6 How you agree to receive texts
You sign up for texts only on our website, while signed in to your account:
- During onboarding, or later in Account → Notifications, you choose the SMS add-on and enter your US mobile number.
- You read the disclosure next to the checkbox and check the box to agree. The box is never checked for you.
- We text you a one-time code, and you enter it on our site. This shows that you have the phone.
- When your number is verified and the SMS add-on is active on your subscription, we send you a confirmation text, and your alerts start.
We keep a record of your consent. It includes the version of the consent wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address and browser information (user agent) you used. We email you a copy for your records.
Agreeing is optional. You don't have to agree to receive texts to buy any FastFindRemoteJobs plan. You can use the service with email alerts and your dashboard alone.
Only you can sign up your number. We get consent to text you only from you, through our website. We never get it from lists, other companies or pre-checked boxes. Your consent covers only this program and the number you verified.
Who can sign up. You must be 18 or older, be in the United States, and be the account holder or regular user of the mobile number, with authority to agree to texts sent to it. Please don't enter anyone else's number.
A.7 Eligible numbers and carriers
- US mobile numbers only. That means a 10-digit US (+1) mobile number that can receive text messages.
- Not available for landlines, toll-free numbers or numbers outside the United States. Some internet-based (VoIP), prepaid or business-line numbers may not be able to receive our texts. [DEVELOPER TO CONFIRM whether verification blocks VoIP numbers.]
- Carriers. The program is available on major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, and on most regional carriers. We can't promise that every carrier or plan will deliver our texts. [DEVELOPER TO CONFIRM against Twilio's current US coverage.]
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
A.8 How to stop texts (opt out)
- Reply STOP to any text from us. We also accept STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE and OPT OUT, in capital or small letters.
- We'll send one final text confirming that you've opted out. After that, we won't text you again unless you opt back in (A.9).
- Other ways to stop:
- turn off text alerts in Account → Notifications;
- remove the SMS add-on in Account → Billing;
- email support@fastfindremotejobs.com from the email address on your account and include your mobile number;
- any other reasonable way of telling us, such as replying "please stop texting me."
- How fast. A STOP reply (or one of the words above) takes effect right away. We act on other requests promptly, and within 10 business days at most.
What stopping texts doesn't do. It doesn't cancel your subscription or stop your alert emails.
[ATTORNEY/OWNER TO CHOOSE ONE:] [OPTION A (recommended): Replying STOP also removes the SMS add-on at the end of your current billing period, so you won't be charged for it again. We'll email you to confirm.] [OPTION B: Replying STOP doesn't remove the SMS add-on or its $10.00 monthly charge. To stop paying for it, remove the add-on in Account → Billing. We'll email you a reminder with a link to do this.]
Stopping emails doesn't stop texts. The unsubscribe link in alert emails pauses alert emails only. To stop texts, use one of the ways above.
A.9 Opting back in
- If you replied STOP and your SMS add-on is still active, reply START or UNSTOP, or turn text alerts back on in Account → Notifications. We'll send a confirmation text, and your alerts resume. [OWNER TO CONFIRM how START is handled; see Part B, section B5.2.]
- If your SMS add-on has ended, add it again in Account → Billing. You'll check the consent box and verify your number again.
A.10 Getting help
- Reply HELP (or INFO) to any text for help.
- Email: support@fastfindremotejobs.com. For billing questions: billing@fastfindremotejobs.com.
- Stay safe. We'll never ask you to text us a password, a card number or a verification code. Never share your verification code with anyone.
A.11 Changing or giving up your number
- New number. In Account → Notifications, choose Change number, enter the new number, check the consent box again and verify the new number with a code. We stop texting your old number right away and delete it.
- Giving up or losing your number. Before you cancel, transfer or give up a number, remove it in Account → Notifications or reply STOP. If you lose your phone, remove the number in your account or email support@fastfindremotejobs.com.
- Got our texts by mistake? If you aren't a FastFindRemoteJobs subscriber and you receive our texts, perhaps because you have a recycled number, reply STOP and we'll stop right away. You can also email support@fastfindremotejobs.com.
A.12 Your privacy
- What we collect for texts: your mobile number; your consent record (A.6); whether each text was delivered; your replies, such as STOP and HELP; and the texts we sent you.
- How long we keep it: we delete your mobile number when your SMS add-on ends (for example, because you removed it or canceled your subscription) or when you delete your account. We keep your consent record for as long as you have the SMS add-on plus 4 years, so we can show we had your permission; after your number is deleted, the record keeps only a scrambled (hashed) version of it. Our [Privacy Policy] [LINK] lists all retention periods. [OWNER TO CONFIRM Twilio message-log retention, as the Privacy Policy notes.]
- Who handles it: Twilio, our SMS provider, sends our texts and processes your number, the texts and your replies for us.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the service providers we use to deliver our text-message program (such as Twilio).
- Others may see your texts. Text messages aren't encrypted end to end, and they can appear on your phone's lock screen. Our Ultra texts include job titles and company names, which could show anyone who sees your phone that you're looking for a job. You can hide message previews in your phone's settings.
A.13 Our responsibilities and limits
- Job information. Our texts describe job postings that we find on employers' own career sites and job feeds. We don't guarantee that a job is still open, that a posting is accurate, or that you'll get an interview or a job. We aren't affiliated with the employers whose postings we monitor.
- Don't rely on texts alone. Texts can be delayed, filtered by a carrier or not delivered. Your dashboard and email alerts also show your matches.
- When we may pause texts to a number. We may pause or stop texts to a number if our texts keep failing, a carrier blocks or filters them, we see signs of misuse or fraud, you break our Terms of Service, or the law or carrier rules require it. If this happens, we'll tell you by email. Our [Refund & Cancellation Policy] [LINK] explains how this affects billing.
- If we change or end the program. We'll tell you by email before a change that materially affects your texts, and we may also send a short text notice. If we end the text program, we won't charge you for the SMS add-on for any billing period after your texts end.
- Our Terms of Service (including the sections on disclaimers, limits of liability and disputes) also apply to the text program. Nothing in these SMS Terms limits rights you have under the law.
A.14 Changes to these SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms. We'll post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we'll email you at least [NOTICE PERIOD; suggested: 30] days before it takes effect, and we may also text you a short notice. If a change would expand what we text you, such as a new type of message or a higher daily maximum, we'll ask you to agree again where the law or carrier rules require it. You can opt out at any time.
